A unique organisation in the field of special needs education: an independent, self governing organisation supported by the Ministries of education in 15 participating EU countries, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and the European Commission. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic are participating as observers.

Thematic databases

The Transition database with overviews of country information, examples and presentations of exchanges and the project’s Final Report in 13 languages (download) are now available.

The ICT in SNE database provides overviews of policy and practices, examples of projects and contacts for key information sources and services in the countries.
The Higher Education Accessibility Guide (HEAG) database provides a guide with information regarding disability support services in seventeen European countries, which may help students and their teachers make decisions about possibilities for study programmes and exchange activities.Please visit www.heagnet.org to see the full database.
