Topic:	Basic teacher training.
	Pre-school teachers complete 3 years of teacher training in university. Teachers in comprehensive/compulsory education schools are required to complete university based training of a minimum of 4 years that leads to either a pedagogical degree with 1 or 2subject specialisation (for those wishing to become class teachers) or an academic, subject based degree with pedagogic being an element of the training. Upper secondary teachers also follow university based training leading to an academic degree in their subject area. Compulsory and upper secondary school teachers must complete 3 days in-service training as a minimum per year.
