A European event like no other
90 young learners from secondary and vocational educational contexts across 27 countries will express their views on their own experiences of inclusive education. They will also have the opportunity to get to know each other and share their experiences through workshops and social events. Brussels, 7 November will be an enjoyable day of diversity, discussion and new friendships.
This event aims to provide young people from across Europe with the opportunity to make their voices heard. They will share information on their personal wishes and requirements as well as identify further challenges regarding their education.
This European Hearing is organised by the European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education with the support of the European Commission and the European Parliament.
Thirty-one delegations are expected to participate – each delegation having three young delegates, two of whom have disabilities and/or special educational needs. The participating countries are: Austria, Belgium (Flemish and French speaking communities), Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales).
THIS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLY BUT IS FULLY OPEN TO JOURNALISTS
