The work of the Transition project experts also led to the decision to develop a ‘Guidance Tool’. A simple presentation of key points about the Transition process that could be used by young people themselves as well as teachers and professionals who were new to Transition planning.
As the tool was to be aimed at young people in schools, it was decided to produce an interactive CDRom of the key information to guide young people, their families and the professionals supporting them. This CD was produced using MacroMedia Flash as it was felt this would be easy to use for the main audience the tool was designed for.
This platform may not be accessible for all of our users, but all of the information available in this tool is available in the ITP summary report in MSWord of Adobe pdf formats.
The tool can be viewed in 17 different language versions as a static html version
