ISCED 2: Administrative Data returns, October returns (annual post-primary school return to the Department of Education), Youthreach (programme for young people who have dropped out of school) There are many students aged 15 who are enrolled in ISCED 3 and hence are not included in the 39,150 figure.
3 How many pupils are out of any formal educational settings aged: 20 148 Department of Education and Skills statistics 2014/15 These include pupils who receive home tuition on the basis of medical conditions, school anxiety issues and who have special educational needs and have no school place. It is not possible to get figures on the number of children who are educated in the home based on parental choice.
