Question 2: It is not possible to break down all those in mainstream schools by age and level. Question 4: There are 7,334 pupils in separate special schools, 6,013 of whom were following an ISCED level 1 programme. It is not possible to disaggregate this data by age and level. Question 5: These include pupils who receive home tuition on the basis of having a special educational need and have no school place. Some of these pupils, although older, are in special schools and still enrolled in ISCED level 1 programmes. It is not possible to get figures on the number of children who are educated in the home based on parental choice.
