A seminar on inclusive education for learners with disabilities took place on 16 November 2016 in the European Parliament in Brussels. The event was organised by Ádám Kósa MEP, in co-operation with Helga Stevens MEP, Silvia Costa MEP and the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education.
On 16 October 2015 the Luxembourg Presidency of the European Union hosted the Agency’s fourth Hearing entitled ‘Inclusive education: Take action!’. Seventy-two young people with and without disabilities had the opportunity to discuss how their schools and communities ensure an inclusive education for them and what potential obstacles they are still facing in their education and their day-to-day lives.
The Agency’s International Conference on ‘Inclusive Education in Europe – Putting theory into practice’ was held in Brussels on 18 November 2013. The conclusions of this event have been summarised in three publications.
On 7 November 2011, the Agency hosted a European Hearing at the European Parliament in Brussels. The event aimed to provide young people from across Europe, both with and without disabilities and/or special educational needs, the opportunity to express their views on inclusive education based on their own experiences.
