Multicultural Diversity and Special Needs Education
This web area presents the results of the Agency project focusing upon an analysis of Multicultural Diversity and Special Needs Education in 25 European countries in 2006-2008. This analysis has been conducted by the European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education, at the request of member countries’ representatives on the topic of Special Needs Education and Immigration. Agency representatives asked to receive information from the different countries about the combined effects of this double issue. Concrete recommendations formulated as a result of the analysis were also asked for.

Project participants
32 national experts from 25 countries were involved in this analysis: Austria, Belgium (Flemish and French speaking communities), Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland (French and German speaking communities) and UK (England).
