1 How many school aged children are there at: 82,157 36,137 Eurostat ISCED 1: All children aged 7–12; ISCED 2: all children aged 13–15. The general population census figures 1 are from 1 January.
2 How many pupils are enrolled in all formal educational settings in: 79,579 36,092 Estonian Education Information System (EHIS) All pupils in ISCED 1 or 2, full-time pupils in general education. In practice, the lines within and between ISCED 1 and 2 are not exactly between 7–12 and 13–15 ('Age breakdown' tables). The 'Age breakdown' tables give the actual distribution of pupils by their age at the beginning of the school year (1 September). Pupil census figures are from 10 November 2014. Some pupils aged 15 or under may already participate in part-time education; some may be moved to vocational education and training or ISCED 3 studies. This and different reference dates explain some difference between Questions 1 and 2 in this table.
