Belgium (Flemish community) Data

The EASIE data collection takes place every two years. Country data is added to this website as and when it becomes available. The default view is the most recent school year available. The data is presented in up to six tables, focusing on different aspects of inclusive education. Unless stated otherwise in the notes, the data displayed is from the selected school year.

The data for adult programmes is as follows: ISCED 1 = 7,578; ISCED 2 = 88,377. The data refers to all pupils enrolled in ISCED 1 and 2 and not only to the pupils in the age categories mentioned in Question 1.
3 How many pupils are out of any formal educational settings in: M M The following data is an estimate for the 2014/2015 school year. A total of 2,479 children are home-educated. Home education is considered non-formal education. Some 4,051 children are excluded from formal compulsory education. These include, for example, children in a semi-boarding school for school non-attendees or children in a boarding school for school non-attendees.
4 How many pupils are enrolled in mainstream formal educational settings with their non-disabled peers in: 411,097 133,716 ADSEI Data refers to pupils enrolled in mainstream education; pupils enrolled in special education and in adult education are excluded from these figures.
5 How many pupils are enrolled and educated in mainstream classes with their non-disabled peers for at least 80% of the time in: 411,097 133,716 ADSEI All pupils are enrolled in mainstream classes (separate classes in mainstream education for pupils with disabilities are not organised in the Flemish education system).
