On 19–20 April 2018, the Agency participated in Educate to Create: from Digital Consumers to Digital Creators, an event under the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, and was co-organised by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture.
The project kick-off meeting was held in Athens on 17–19 June 2014 as an event under the Greek Presidency of the EU. Following this, three Learning Communities have been chosen to take forward the school-based work:
The Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences at Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull offers studies in Pre-Primary Education, Primary Education, Psychology, Speech Therapy and Sport Sciences. The curricula are based on a theoretical and practical learning system, with workshops and placements in schools, hospitals, sports facilities and a wide range of centres, following the axes of the Bologna Declaration.
In Slovenia, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport (Ministrstvo za izobraževanje, znanost in šport) is responsible for education. It has authority to formulate and implement education policies, as well as make system regulations. The Ministry directly or indirectly outlines national programmes and draws up budgets for pre-primary, basic, upper-secondary, higher vocational and higher education.
The Directorate-General of Education of the Ministry of Education is responsible by law for developing, implementing and monitoring national policy for inclusive education, through its Special Needs Services.
