Evidence of the Link Between Inclusive Education and Social Inclusion: Literature Review

This literature review examines the link between inclusive education and the social inclusion of people with disabilities. According to the review, there is evidence to suggest that there is a link between inclusive education and social inclusion in the areas of education, employment and living in the community. At the same time, the review suggests that attending segregated settings minimises the opportunities for social inclusion both in the short term (while children with disabilities are at school) and the long term (after graduation from secondary education).

World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2018

The World Summit on the Information Society Forum (WSIS) 2018 took place in Geneva on 18–23 March 2018. The WSIS Forum is the biggest annual meeting of the ‘ICT for development’ community, attended by almost 2,000 participants. It is a worldwide multi-stakeholder platform that aims to implement the WSIS Action Lines for advancing sustainable development.

Raising the Achievement of All Learners in Inclusive Education: Lessons from European Policy and Practice

This report provides an overview of the Agency’s Raising the Achievement of All Learners in Inclusive Education project (2014–2017). The Raising Achievement project aimed to provide evidence of effective practice in raising achievement and building capacity to meet a diverse range of learner needs.

The New Agency Website

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website. The Agency website is the main source of information about all the Agency projects and activities over the past 20 years.

All our pages and web areas have been edited and re-structured with accessibility and usability in mind. The new website has a new design, and we have included some features that we hope will make visiting the site easier and a more interactive experience.

First European Education Summit

Agency representatives attended the First European Education Summit on 25 January 2018, organised by the European Commission. Hosted by Tibor Navracsics, EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, the event invited participants to discuss the importance of basic skills and inclusive education for becoming active members of society.
