Information on individual countries' approaches to Raising Achievement are now available online in the form of 22 individual country reports. These reports provide detailed information, collected via the project survey, on the specific legislation, policy and strategies for raising the achievement of all learners in inclusive settings. Many reports also provide practice examples.
The Financing Policies for Inclusive Education Systems (FPIES) project was presented as an example of successful policy co-operation and exchange work between countries at a conference last week. The event was organised by the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (the Council), in co-operation with the Agency.

The last event under the aegis of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (the Council) took place on 21 June 2018 in the Council. The conference entitled ‘Towards a European Education Area – Promoting Common Values and Inclusive Education’ was co-organised by the Agency.
Every year, the Nordic Council of Ministers allocates funds through Nordplus Horizontal, its lifelong learning education programme. This year, a network group with representatives from the Nordic countries received a grant for the project entitled ‘What is inside the black box in Nordic schools? Understanding the inner core of inclusive capability’.
The main output of the Financing Policies for Inclusive Education Systems (FPIES) project, the draft Policy Guidance Framework, was introduced at a Validation meeting held in Athens, Greece, on 7 June.
Following the end of the Agency’s Raising the Achievement of All Learners in Inclusive Education project, a one-day conference was held in Graz, Austria, in March 2018. The event considered inclusive developments that help to raise learners’ achievement, from international and national perspectives.
The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, together with the Federal Centre for Inclusive and Special Needs Education and Linz School of Education, organised the event.
The Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education are co-organising an event on the topic Towards a European Education Area - Promoting Common Values and Inclusive Education.
The event will take place from 10.00 to 12.30 on 21 June 2018 at the Council of the European Union in Brussels.
